FAB Families
Dear Families,
For those of you who are new to our school, we'd like to tell you about our FAB Families! Your child(ren) will be in a FAB Family and will remain in that family for his/her years at Inman Elementary. Each family has an IES staff member as their 'parent' and six to eight multi-age 'siblings' who are students from different grade levels. This model has been shown to help build rapport among students and staff, increase enthusiasm for learning and cooperation, and decrease bullying school-wide.
FAB Families meet one Friday each month for lunch and other special activities. Part of creating the family feel will include wearing matching T-shirts for each group. T-shirts will be sent home with students in the fall and are worn for a 2-year span. Please remind your child to wear his/her shirt on FAB Fridays; those dates will be determined soon after school begins.
